Resources provided by the Family Engagement Team
Family Services provided by the World Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WAIE) focus on the parents and guardians of young scholars who are in secondary education, primary education, and early education. They include classes and workshops to help further develop their household and create generational wealth.
Our family services are a growing offering of resources put together by our Office of Family Engagement team who works towards providing holistic development opportunities for the families of young scholars and their households.
MyPride
At WAIE you have access to MyPride, the Lion’s online resource for young scholars and families to access online courses, billing, applications, and other important tools for your success as a member of our community.
Family Association
As part of our family services, you gain access to a free community for parents, guardians, and adult family members involved in the growth and success of young scholars at WAIE. You’ll be able to connect with and learn from one another as well as participate in virtual and in-person social events.
Family College
Each year our Family Engagement team holds a virtual conference for both WAIE families and guest families to participate in workshops on improving parenting skills, entrepreneurship, and much more.
Global Immersion Programs
Our young scholars and guest students have access to a multitude of immersions throughout the year that provides them access to outdoor leadership, arts, global engagement, and much more. Our goal is to hire adult family members to serve as paid program associates during the immersions to help strengthen the community.
Family CARE
As part of the work of the Family Engagement team and Student CARE team, we procure resources as part of our family services to support the success of each family in WAIE when it comes to the acquisition of insurance, discounts, food and clothing resources, and much more.
Online Learning
One of the goals of our Founder, Duron Jones, for WAIE was to not only educate the young scholars but to provide access to that same education to their families. When families register with WAIE they will be able to inform us of their child’s immediate family who will have access to their MyPride account. Those same family members will also have access to classes that will expand their knowledge in entrepreneurship, STEM, health. and more so they may grow along with their children.
